GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOAT

The Barefoot Princess is 64 feet long and 24 feet wide.  She is a U.S. Coast Guard inspected and approved passenger vessel for 130 passengers.  All boarding/disembarking is through the front door of the lower level.  The lower level is primarily used as the dining room and also has a restroom and speakers for the narration and music.  The second level has a restroom, snack bar, entertainer/narrator, dance floor, outside seating/observation deck.  The third level is all open-air with seating.

 

 

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE?

Advance purchase is required for all meal cruises. Sightseeing and Sunset cruise advance purchases are strongly recommended.  Advance ticket purchases require a VISA or MASTERCARD.  AmericanExpress is also accepted by Zerve.  Sightseeing tickets may also be purchased at our ticket booth one hour prior to cruise departure, based upon availability, located at 4932 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach (Barefoot Landing) beside Greg Norman's Australian Grille.

CAN I SMOKE ON THE BOAT?

In accordance with North Myrtle Beach Town Ordinance, the Barefoot Princess Riverboat is a NON-SMOKING VESSEL.  This includes both inside and outside the riverboat on all decks.

 

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Pets are not allowed aboard, however, trained service animals are welcome when they are engaged in providing the service for which they are trained.

 

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?

No. Health Department regulations prohibit outside food and beverages.

 

ARE FOOD/DRINKS SERVED ON THE CRUISE?

Advertised meal cruises (Dinner, Deli-Lunch,...) include the food and drinks listed for that cruise.  Passengers on all cruises may utilize the case-based snack bar for light snacks (crackers, chips, candy, soda, water,...)  A government-issued ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages for those guests over 21 years of age.

 

WHERE DO I PARK?

The parking lot is located in front of the Greg Norman Australian Grille, at the back of Barefoot Landing. Please see our Map and Directions for location.

 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Travelers Checks, VISA, MASTERCARD, and, of course, CASH!

 

DO YOU CRUISE WHEN IT RAINS?

ABSOLUTELY! Our 1st and 2nd decks are enclosed and climate-controlled with great viewing for all. Cruises will only be cancelled for weather purposes when the General Manager and Captain determine there are unsafe conditions for cruising.

 

IS ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDED ON THE CRUISE?

Yes, there is entertainment provided.  Our onboard guide provides music through singing, instrumentals, and plays a really mean harmonica!  The dance floor is always open if you feel like dancing to the beat!  Sightseeing cruises include a narrative of the area and music.  Dinner cruises include soft music for dining and more lively music for dancing afterwards.

 

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Yes.....be comfortable! All bathing attire should be covered. Shirts and shoes are required.

For our holiday and special dinner cruises, appropriate attire is recommended. High heeled shoes are never recommended.

 

ARE CHILDREN ALLOW TO ATTEND?

Children are more than welcome!  Children under 12 years of age are free with each paying adult on Sightseeing cruises.  Children have a reduced ticket price on all cruises.  Children under age 2 are free, but must obtain a boarding ticket due to U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

 

IS THE VESSEL HANDICAP/WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

The Barefoot Princess crew is available to assist wheelchairs/powerchairs with boarding.  Access to the boat is via a ramp to the lower deck/dining area.  The incline angle of the ramp varies depending on the tide.

 

ARE THERE RESTROOMS ONBOARD?

Yes. Restrooms are located on the first and second decks.

 

WILL I GET SEASICK?

Seasickness should not be an issue since our boat glides smoothly along the Intracoastal Waterway.  However, if you are prone to motion sickness, please take the necessary precautions before the event.

BOARDING and TICKET BOOTH INFORMATION

Boarding begins approximately 30 minutes prior to cruise time.  Tickets for Dinner Cruises may be picked up at our ticket booth, located in front of the riverboat, within 1 hour of boarding. Tickets for all non-meal cruises may be purchased within 1 hour of boarding.

 

ARE PRIVATE CHARTERS AVAILABLE?

REFUND / RESCHEDULING POLICY

Cruise ticket purchase guarantees your ability to participate. Unlike airline ticket purchases, the cruise boat is never oversold. Our capacity is dictated by the U.S. Coast Guard and your advance ticket purchase guarantees your space.  In the event of severe weather or other safety concerns, the Captain and/or General Manager will determine if a cruise must be cancelled for safety reasons.  If a cruise is cancelled, we will allow passengers to reschedule their cruise, based on availability.
